It is, but humans didn't cause it.

without a doubt
that being said, nothing will happen to prevent it - there would need to be an alliance of every country in the world working together towards fixing the problem which is never going to happen

you can take expensive steps towards fixing the problem that will have catastrophic consequences years from now or profit from ignoring it today

gradeschool understanding of stats

do you honestly think we cant extrapolate current data and make probabilistic guesses on whats coming using a combination of a plethora of other stats?

do you honestly think you're making a good point right now?

If over 50% of your plot is extrapolation, then you're not even presenting data at that point but rather just fear mongering, unverified bullshit.

Here's how to properly show extrapolations in a data set. Notice the difference between this and climate change? A majority of the plot is data, where you see a clear trend in recent years and such trend is extrapolated shortly in the future.

>>12698456
Here's another example of extrapolation done right. This time about half the data is extrapolated, but the reason it's okay here and not in climate change is the smooth changes. It's not randomly exponential just for the sake of showing maximal fear mongering growth.

The size of the plot is irrelevant, unless you think the extrapolation is some kind of naive curve fitting. What a moron.

Somehow this magically becomes more valid than a chart showing the same projection with a shorter y-axis???

None of the charts are randomly exponential. They are based on different models of different things and thus behave differently. Are you mentally handicapped?

>>12697539
You're under some kind of delusion that climate change == global warming. Here's a quick rule of thumb for you: if the language is global warming, it's scientific since all the graphs are overwhelmingly data driven and show a clear trend. If it's climate change, then it's political drivel as you can see here >>12697525

>Global warming refers only to the Earth’s rising surface temperature, while climate change includes warming and the “side effects” of warming
Notice how the former is data oriented, and the latter is projection oriented. As was demonstrated earlier in this thread, the projections aren't even sound.

>> No.12698965

Climate change is real, but human contribution is, in fact, overvalued by most "climatologits". Climate has been changing for the whole lifetime of our planet, there were periods with more radical increase of average temperature than the current one. And panic and all the proposed measures won't really stop the acceleration of warming, we'll have to adapt to higher temperatures, rising humidity and other side effects. Personally I, as a coomer, welcome this coming change, because it means we'll observe lightly-dressed females much more often in the future than we do now, which is quite nice. There will be negative sides too, but I think focusing on them is simply pointless.

Source?

>Climate has been changing for the whole lifetime of our planet, there were periods with more radical increase of average temperature than the current one.
When? What resulted from those changes?

>And panic and all the proposed measures won't really stop the acceleration of warming
Please explain how reducing CO2 emissions will not stop acceleration of warming.

>Another distinction between global warming and climate change is that when scientists or public leaders talk about global warming these days, they almost always mean human-caused warming—warming due to the rapid increase in carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases from people burning coal, oil, and gas.
>Climate change, on the other hand, can mean human-caused changes or natural ones, such as ice ages. Besides burning fossil fuels, humans can cause climate changes by emitting aerosol pollution—the tiny particles that reflect sunlight and cool the climate— into the atmosphere, or by transforming the Earth's landscape, for instance, from carbon-storing forests to farmland.
Your source agrees that the the current climate change is global warming.
