Why am I so stupid?

I bet u most engineers cant do precalc. They just google it or look up tables.

You're not too stupid to learn precalc, anon, no one is. I believe in you.

practice precalc then.

What is precalc ? High school math ?

>> No.12695980

>>12695476
I’m in calc 3 right now and I still think trig from precal was the hardest math got. Trig proofs were fucking awful

I promise you it gets better after. Calc 1 and 2 is chimp math and calc 3 isn’t necessarily difficult it’s just a little out there, you’ll have to think a little differently

Sort of, if you started at a certain level entering high school, you can finish with precalculus. Consists of learning about logarithms and exponential, and then trigonometry I believe. Though most people started too low in my high school, so the farthest they went was intermediate algebra/algebra 2

I'd say the biggest contributor to my success with math has been picking up a programming language. Do I know what order to to multiply terms by to do rotations with quaternions? Do I even care? Fuck no! I have code that I copied from someone else take care of the mechanical trivialities, and I built an understanding on top of that.

i have my linear algebra and analisis I exam in 3 weeks and i dont fucking get it
i dont think im too dumb for this but i cant listen to my prof without zoning out after 10 minutes and when i regain consciousness its like hes trying to summon a demon with hebrew incantations until the next topic starts
how the fuck do i fix this

You don’t actually care about what you’re doing. You just care about $$$$. I.e. engineering is perfect for you.
If you’re really not smart enough even for that; then you can go into business.

just cheat bro everyone does it and you dont need that shit anyways
do you have online exams
if so dont prepare for the exam with learning but instead prepare to cheat

What? Have you at least finished your other classes? Wanting to be an engineer is weird especially if you can't do algebra. Do you mean you want to be a welder?

I believe the majority of the time people people say they're too stupid to learn something it's a confidence issue rather than an intellect one.

>> No.12696256

Makes sense doesn't it? Other people tell you if you can't do this, how can you expect to do that even though you could do that without this. Math is a big wide field, it's not a pyramid despite how people talk about it.

If you're anything like I was, you're probably just far too low-energy to keep up with the pace of semesters. Practice practice practice

Calculus is so simple, it takes a genius to understand it. The teachers and symbols tend to obfuscate the raw simplicity of calculus. So, it isn’t entirely your fault.

You literally just need to study more. Anyone can understand precalc, the concepts are taught in highschool
