e.g. Pic related is an article from January 2020 and you'll notice A) the virus wasn't yet a topic of interest in the US and B) it's talking about how convenient it would be for the Fed to have distractions at that time to avoid having the general public find out what was happening.

And to clarify the virus itself was real but not any more serious of a threat to the general public's health than past outbreaks like Swine Flu. Almost any virus of that sort could have become the one treated in this new over the top way and there was planning in the works for a long time to eventually do this with a given viral outbreak through public policy and media coverage.
The failure of QE to keep the banks solvent and the way the 2008 can was kicked down the road without the Fed ever having reduced their balance sheets from then like what's supposed to happen in order to restore normality and get off economic life support became the primary impetus for using public policy towards this particular virus as the big one everyone was waiting for.
