man started as being nomadic.
Only later on did he start cultivating crops and live in a relatively small area.

Even in Africa people would venture a lot to find (enough) edible stuff

Human development goes like this:
Apes -> Nomadic humans -> Humans with agriculture.
never became nomadic is a silly question. It implies humans started out as something other than nomads.

I think it is a necessary step for human survival. we became nomadic after we gain sentient.

the next logical step would be to migrate from earth to other planets.

but this require another sentient awakening, the singularity. I can never witness this day...
