Does /sci/ approve nuclear energy as the most effective source?

>> No.1259342

No, solar is.

We just need to set up a bunch of solar panels around a quasar and we can prevent the heat death of the universe for a few million years.

You need to give a quantitative definition of effectiveness first.

But nuclear energy can last for like 10,000+ years. and you only need a fixed area for nuclear reactor. whilst, solar eats so much land due to how it's setup.

Solar doesnt necessarily have to be earth based. Like he suggested in the future we might be able to store Solar panels in space. But yeah for the time being I would say nuclear would be the best option, so long as we still have a means to store the waste.

Fusion on fission?

I always liked the idea of creating a tiny sun

It's kinda hard to choose. Nfission produces highly radioactive byproduct particles, but takes little energy to split two atoms in a fission reaction.

Fusion however is more expensive to maintain, but cleaner.

I think every house should have solar panels on them if they face a direction where they can collect solar rays

Fuck Yuka Mountain! Throw that shit back in the reactors to get it down to something with a reasonable half-life.
