Why would it be a meme? Can you not see the applications? The only thing stopping it from going mainstream is it's lack of affordability and amount of producers. Everything starts off this way. Telegrams used to be a thing for the rich.

Heck, even transmitting sound waves electronically over a wire was once a meme trick.

No, but it is completely overrated
Nanotech is just nano-level or the size of a virus.
It isn't some superpower that makes a person immune to bullets and shit.

It's just a small robot designed to assist chemical imbalances and eliminate diseases. It would be just like an autoimmune system but in manual mode and nothing more.

look up nanoparticles. they are used in chemistry. very interesting stuff.

>> No.12547055

Kinda. Most research is a meme, but sometimes it has cool applications. Photonics has some neat applications. I do metamaterial research, and it mostly a meme. AMA

Chemistry deals with stuff that is even smaller than nano. By default

They deal with up to the picometer which is 100x smaller than nano

i can tell you that you aren't going to get a lot of uses out of a 2D narrowband microwave cloak situated in a parallel plate waveguide, unless you don't want to cook your 2D baked potato in your microwave.

i haven't heard much about sesmic cloaks in a while, but acoustics probably makes the problem harder
