gave lots of technical presentations, most around 45 min - 1 hr last semester, what helped for me was to just practice in front of an empty room. Lots of lecture halls were empty at my uni so I just used those. Saying things out loud helps a lot with trying to convey ideas and helps me a lot with the presentation anxiety.

Lectures should be replaced with a video shot in a studio with all the visuals and audio edited for clarity. It should be a voice over video like a documentary. Pic related is as obsolete as theater, a movie is much better, you film it once and can play it millions of times.

Use demonstrations and lots of visuals if you can.
Don't overexplain things. Simplify concepts in a way that people can take it away to remember.
Use practical examples if you can.

You are unironically right. Students should watch lectures at home and come to class to ask questions and clarify what they didn't understand.

I concur. The problem with this approach is that students who don't put in the effort fall behind faster, but in college that's your own fault anyways so it doesn't matter.
