Wtf is the world and universe around us really like if all the lights, shapes, and colors we see are how our eyes interpret particles. Even what we hear and touch are simply our brain's interpretations of sound waves and the electrons on our fingers reacting to stimuli. Is reality just an illusion?
Sorry for making this doghsit thread but I remember u guys being pretty smart and I just need material, thoughts, concepts, etc... that expand on this/clear things up.

Our senses our actually genuine dimensions that we percieve. We only think there are 3 dimensions because there are only 3 spatial dimensions, but we experience and utilize the others all the same.

Could you elaborate on that? What do you mean we experience and utilize the other dimensions?

In a way, yes.

Your eyes have nothing to do with your sensation of sight. Your ears have nothing to do with the sensation of hearing.

Your visual area in the brain is the source of sight. You can see without eyes, and with a visual area, but you can't see with eyes and without a visual area.

Your eyes feed data to the visual area and it's pretty good at processing that data and assembling it into a package that allows you to interact with the outside world in meaningful ways, but ultimately your 3D sight as an assemblage of very basic visual components akin to lines and dots and angles.

The world really is lights, shapes and colors.
>how our eyes interpret particles
"particles" are just a model we use to predict which colors we'll see.

Fuck off back to philosophy class solipsist.
Science is inherently empiricist. We measure shit around here and accept the world as we see it due to the massive set of interlocking and supporting rules it follows.
