Anyone got a decent basic explanation for how CRISPR works? Every explanation I've found so far is way too detailed for my reeeetard brain, can anyone explain in simple terms what the fuck is going on or at least give me some linx to papers/videos to help me understand?

so basically crispr's this protein that has the ability to find and cut specific parts of DNA. like literally, you can attach any of DNA to it and it will search for the same sequence in the genome to cut it. if you attach different proteins to CRISPR, you can practically add or remove any segment of DNA however you want.
