You have the radiation from the body (uranium) and then you convert that radiation into heat which is used to convert to steam power with water which is used to turn a turbine to generate electricity. The Martian vehicle is essentially the base vehicle when it comes to the manned SS. The Lunar version has significant differences (paint, docking port in the nose instead of the header tank, landing engines mid-way up the vehicle).
