Researchers compared marijuana smoke to tobacco smoke, using smoking machines to simulate the smoking habits of users. Scientists found ammonia levels were 20 times higher in the marijuana than the tobacco, while hydrogen cyanide, nitric oxide and certain aromatic amines occurred at levels 3-5 times higher in marijuana smoke. The finding is "important information for public health and communication of the risk related to exposure to such materials."

I can't remember the source, but I read that the correlation between Marijuana and schizophrenia was stronger than the correlation between tobacco and lung cancer.

Cyanide is a poison, it binds tightly to enzymes in the citric acid cycle (dont quote me on this) meaning that those enzymes are essentially deactivated, tl;dr, too much cyanide = you cant produce ATP.

in the step where your cristae? take energy from hydrogen atoms, the cyanide goes through the same track but instead of energy being taken to make ATP the cyanide binds to the final cristae in each of the chains rendering the process in that mitochondria useless. more or less wasting energy in your body.

PROTIP: When you smoke weed, you hurt yourself and everyone around you. Its ILLEGAL for a reason, DUH.

You see how bad alcohol can be? Well its legal, which means that its not half as bad as marijuana, obviously. Think about it, if alcohol can destroy a family, what can marijuana bring ruination to? A neighborhood? A small town?

Think before you smoke, weed kills.

It increases dopamine levels. Too much dopamine , you go schizo, too little, depressed. It only really affects people that were already susceptible, but that is a significant number of people, 2% or so.
In addition, tolerance of the drug will pretty much guarentee depression of some sort in the long run.

It is logical because the government wants people to do drugs. The more docile, high, and dumb the populace is the easier it is to further the agendas of multinational corporations.

They've just been waiting for a time in which they make more money with it legal than they do illegal. It is coming soon.

You can get addicted to marijuana. I watched my brother deal with a marijuana addiction for several years. Sure, he didn't get the withdrawal symptoms you'd get from a drug like heroin, but it had a strong psychological pull on him. I remember several times him telling me to try and stop him from smoking because whenever he would get high he would come to the conclusion that he should be getting high anymore.

>> No.1218234

>>1218218
The problem with you being logical is that very few people are. Dumb kids will give in to peer pressure, people will break and want an escape from real life, and so on. Some people will recover, some will get hooked. And legalizing the drug is giving tacit approval of using it. Tobacco kills so many people it's ridiculous to think that it's legal, but people smoke it anyways.

When people are too dumb to protect themselves, it's the government's job to do it for them.

>> No.1218233

People smoke 3+ packs of cigarettes a day. Who the fuck could smoke more than half a pack's worth of mj a day?

Nobody. Comparing the levels of shit in each of them is as stupid as saying "there's a higher percentage of sugar in a breath mint than there is in a pizza, so eating a pizza is healthier"

also, your argument is incorrect, comparing pot to smoking is legitimate because it is taking analagous causes of poor health and comparing in magnitude, wheras pizza and whatever have different sources of "poor health" and only compare one aspect of magnitude in a trivial manner.
