This is a newer video of the theory, but it predates Wolfram's and Wolfram even publicly liked it on Reddit with his verified account before announcing his own theory. Gary's "unified theory" uses a real-number continuous automaton, so it's actually a continuous real-number array and the symbols only ride on top of that to give meaning to the data. The real-numbers are not meant to be taken literally using this model and only stand in for what Gary theorizes is a more basic principle of magnitude relativism.
