No. Every serious computer scientist I've met has been trained in analysis and algebra. That's not dumbed down math, that's serious shit. In fact, many computer scientists pick up math that most math students can't handle. Last week I had a chat with a computer scientist who applied functional analysis to computer vision problems. He schooled me on this shit and I've been using it for years to work on non-linear elasticity problems.

The insane irony of this board is they don't realise that the bad CS students don't represent CS - they represent the school. Screaming about how shitty CS is and how dumb CS students are is really just announcing that you go to a shitty school.
