It doesnt, but it does fuck with causality in meaningful ways. Basically, electrons cannot pass through these materials classically. By all laws of physics they cannot, they are insulators. Thats how they can trap a charge at all. But because electrons are in a superposition until observed, to move them into the insulated cell, they SHIFT THE FIELD OF PROBABILITY of the electrons and make it so that they teleport, that is, quantum tunnel, over the barrier.

and you say that they can do that because they shift the feld of prrobability?
Are you referring to the Probability distribution function?

My question is: who decides in which part of the PDF the elecron is (How much probability it has) in the first place?

And how do they do this ''shift'' when no one is observng them?

Ideally if no one is observing them the electron should have a discrete Probability distribution because it has the same probability to find itself in or out of the insulator?
