are you actually supposed to remember the integral/derivative of trigonometric functions and their powers?

Of course. Math is all about memorization and only very little about understanding or applying logic. It doesn't get better with higher, more abstract math. Take for example algebraic geometry. There is nothing to be understood, it's just "hurr durr memorize this arbitrary definition and then memorize that other arbitrary definition". And for making up more definitions for future students to memorize you get a phd.

Hopefully you’re not opposed to going to a trade school OP.

It's just memory.
You probably know thousands of words.
What's the difference?

Yes.

But, hey. At least you're being honest. There are too many stem lords doing the safe route for a career and acting like they big brain by writing out simply calc 1 proofs on every white board they find.

Understanding is everything, if you're memorizing everything you learn then it's too late for you, anon. Good luck being in denial for the rest of your pretentious life.

Did I insult you?

Just because you're either a cs major or a mech/chem/electrical engineer doesn't mean you're pushing the limits of science by having the safest career option.

Have fun trying to convince a hedge fund that they should employ you - a faggot with a math degree from some no name undergrad/grad with slightly above average grades - over someone who's won math competitions since they were 8, went to a boarding school, ivy league school, etc. Keeping coping, dumb mathfag.
