Hey /sci/, I'm in secondary 4 in high school and I recently got a exam with this. I couldn't figure it out and I just don't understand. My friends said -use law of sines. THANKS

Its a matter of scales. Using those two angles, find the rest of the angels. We know the one right next to the 56 is 124 and therfore the very top one, combined is 22.

3. APPLY SINE LAW HERE to get hypotenuse of the right triangle.

1) Find the angle opposite the 20 m
= 180 - [34 + (180-56)] = 180 - [34 + 124] = 180 - 168 = 22

2) Use Law of Sines to find the length of side opposite 34 degree angle
a/sin(a) = b/sin(b) = c/sin(c)

20/sin(22) = b/sin(34)
20*sin(34)/sin(22) = b = 29.855

3) Now that I have the length of the hypotenuse of the right triangle I apply the Sines Law again

29.855/sin(90) = c/sin(56)
29.855*sin(56)/sin(90) = c = (29.855 * .829)/1 = 24.751
