They brain damage us at birth, deliberately. They clamp off the umbilical cord immediately. They induce with pitocin, using the child's head as a battering ram and net reducing transplacental and cerebral blood flow. They inject vitamin K. they lobotomize with the hep B vaccine at 12 hours old.

If there was ever a time to lose your faith in the system, this would be it. We're now seeing many of the same signs that preceded the 1933 Agricultural Adjustment Act, and the Holodomor in Ukraine. We're at a point where automation has rendered most people unnecessary, there is no use in a service economy, and only a fraction of the most servile and delusional millennials are desired as Fellow Citizens of the New World. We are the epsilons from Brave New World. We aren't real people. We are incomplete beings. They are clamping early literally as I write this. They need to be stopped. They need to admit. They need to be punished. All will have their eyes burned out by the light of truth, and they will share eternal darkness.

Just think. There is an entire industry and manufacturing base devoted to producing circumstraints and circumcision tools. We created new technology, we advanced, and now here we are in 2020 using radiofrequency scalpels and silver nitrate to circumcise. No longer must we wait until the 8th day, we can inject vitamin K. We have the plastibell and gomco clamp. Yes, through technology, we have become something new.

Also, words to remember. Law of the jungle. If you're a retarded urbanite who was raised in an artificial environment, I suggest you start thinking hard about the more natural laws.

Food.
Water.
Shelter.

How deadly is Basal cell carcinoma?
My 75 year old dad had it on his nose and tips of his ears.
It's because he is a literal redneck. His skin is burned red from working outside all his life. Never used protection.

The one of the nose got removed, but the ones on the ear have been there for like 1.5 years now, and have not been removed yet. Only recently identified as being BCC. He's now waiting to get it removed.

I wanted to know, what's the risk he might have complications from this?

Hey /med/. So I got my grades for my first year of medical school. I'm studying in the best med school in my country and psych is my premed. I discovered I'm lower 1/3 of the class. I don't know what I should do this vacation. Should I enjoy my summer vacation and reserve all my energy for when the next semester starts? or should I catch up on my reading so I can get half-assedly good when 2nd year comes? If so, which subjects should I brush up on for patho? Should I Anking my way through it?

I want to change, /med/. I want to be better. This is the first time in my life that I've performed this academically bad. I've been driven to depression because of this but I don't care now. I want to get better fucking grades. What the fuck do I do?

You’re seeking instances when hypothyroidism is diagnosed and you want to gather data on compliance and lifestyle? VS prescreening asymptomatic patients before hypothyroidism manifests with symptoms?

If this is a school assignment, then I’m not familiar with any questionnaire that does the former. Any measurable data on adverse vs desired effect you’re seeking is generally reported or visualized.
If this is a curiosity endeavor, then it’s not useful clinically. You can gather that data in the first minutes when you talk with patient, they usually bring it up if they have chest pains or nervousness. Compliance can be questioned with your follow up blood work.

>> No.11853014

>>11852996
It's for my thesis. The subject will be "Hypothyroidism monitoring in a GP office" or something of the sort. I need a form/questionnare/something of the sort so I can evaluate the patient objectively, something with a score or risk factors, some targeted questions with a yes/no answer that would let me evaluate the patient when it comes to the GPs office.

I'll be using these at my mom's on her patients with hypothyroidism and she's got plenty of them. I know that for monitoring, the good old blood test is made up by TSH, FT3, FT4 and that's it.

I can't just make some statistics with only the bloodwork, some kind of questionnaire would be helpful.

I see.
I think the only truly useful objective data is the blood work. The other data that is useful, but as we know doesn’t always change with treatment, would be Weight/Pressures and pulses/ temperature.

You could lickert scale questionnaire all the subjective reporting for lifestyle/diet/compliance.

Your exclusion criteria for monitoring would be the actively sick, patients on propranolol, amiodorone, lasix, metformin, steroids, and NSAIDs (regularly).

According to JAMA. 2004;292(21):2591, no correlations between thyroid function and cognitive issues/depression/ or ADLs are found- so can avoid those on your questionnaire.

Maybe use some of the attached and use a scale to get some data?

This article is also interesting. Granted the sample size is very small, they took baseline measurements of healthy patients, clinically induced hypothyroidism, and measured mental functions afterwards. Decrease in paragraph recall and executive functioning showed high statistical correlation.

J Clin Endocrinol Metab. 2007;92(7):2545. Epub 2007 May 1.

MEASUREMENTS Subjects underwent measurements of health status, mood, and cognition using validated instruments: Short Form 36, Profile of Mood States, and tests of declarative memory (paragraph recall, complex figure), working memory (N-back, subject ordered pointing, digit span backward), and motor learning (pursuit rotor). The same measures were repeated after 12 wk on each of the study arms.

CONCLUSIONS We found mild decrements in health status and mood in L-T4-treated hypothyroid subjects when subclinical hypothyroidism was induced in a blinded, randomized fashion. More importantly, there were independent decrements in working memory, which suggests that subclinical hypothyroidism specifically impacts brain areas responsible for working memory.

Could throw that in there to monitor improvement objectively.

This is why they brominate the flour, chlorinate and fluoridate the water, put s|oy in everything, and expose everyone to wireless devices. What do these have in common? Suppression of, or exhaustionof, thyroid function. Blockade of iodine dependent processes and absorption. then, they simply average everyone for a few decades and gradually reduce the reference ranges accordingly.

Really the best time to egt em though remains the womb. Proper thyroid function and idodine is vital for fetal brain development. So you NEED to make sure the mother has a poor diet and LOTS of fluoride.

Lol no, he should work on his studying techniques though and have a schedule in mind of how he will juggle classes, reviews for the day and study for exams.

I’d suggest buying first aid and pathoma and reading it over, Just like a novel, don’t learn anything just try to understand

Also I’d recommend bookmarking different areas (path, physio, renal path etc)

Oh and solve any and all behavior or relationship problems you have.. have a long distance relationship that you don’t think will work out with a chick? Call her and break up, not worth the headache

Have a bad procrastination habit? Put an alarm for 6am everyday, exercise and avoid anything that wastes time.

Smoking and drinking problem? Talk to your doc and get help asap

Have mental issues/learning problems/depression? Try to get help for it within this month and solve those or atleast begin solving those

Ideally you need a stress free, healthy mind with no pending relationship drama or mental issues. You should focus on med school but don’t make it your life, have some interests out of med school.. or you’ll burn out and you don’t want that.

Ask professors and teachers for as much help as possible. Some will be really rice and help as much as possible, some will become your friends and mentors.. others will be arrogant cunts and just tell you to read the book but ask questions.. sometimes they can answer stuff that hours of google searches can’t

Don’t get distracted by multiple books.. pick 2 good books (first aid and pathoma are most relevant), go over sketchy pharm, microbio .. at least know what the fuck that is and look up anking if you are into rote memoriizng cards like a fucking parrot

"In 1960, 1.8 percent of children were reported to have a health condition severe enough to interfere with usual daily activities. In 2010, more than 8 percent of children had a health condition that interfered with daily activities—an increase of more than 400 percent in fifty years."
"Publicly insured children have more chronic conditions than children who have private health insurance (24 percent versus 18 percent). Male children have 50 percent higher rates of chronic health conditions, as well as increased prevalence of asthma, autism spectrum disorders, physical disability, behavior or learning problems, and medical complexity, compared to female children."

At its core, it really is that simple. The medical system is little more than highly technical, meticulous, barbarism. Thinly veil brutality.

Jesus made men "whole again", He would not have supported clamping anything. I think also the idea of "immaculate conception" actually referring to conception after a period of fasting, makes far more sense. Many cultures (eg Scythians) practiced fasting, and the Goths et al even 1000 years later knew of and understood it as well. You can interpret the Bible literally, mathematically, symbolically, astrologically, etc. Nonetheless, fasting for 40 days and nights is actually possible.

And by the way, I'm not actually such a smug asshole, I wasn't born knowing this shit either, though I did always know that medicine wasn't all it was shined up to be (and still fell for it, because I "knew" but I hadn't truly "realized").

I understand people need to explore and expand at their own pace, and in the place and time where it is psychologically possible and favorable to do so. I suppose I'm just impatient and relatively intolerant, because I feel like had someone come to me many years ago and made their case in this sense, I would have ultimately been forced to listen. That's why I know what I know. When I came up against contrast I couldn't convince myself that I knew things I didn't actually know, and the seed was planted. And I got over the resistance and dependency. Connecting the dots is what is known as using your brain, it's not "schizophrenic". You don't need someone's permission regarding what you are, and are not, allowed to connect. The power structure and "culture" becomes like surrogate parents, supplanting the superego. Hence, the mask of sanity.

I get a bleeding nose, throbbing head afterwards and constant eye twitching when I take a Mega B multivitamin for a week or longer. I cut the pill in half, yet I still get this. What would be the cause?

>> No.11860341

>>11860260
Well, too much B12 can cause nose bleeds but I doubt you'd go over the normal level margin taking a multivitamin tablet.

I suggest you'd go to your family physician and do some basic bloodwork (hemogram) and see what's up from there.

The rusted chains of prison moons
Are shattered by the sun
I walk a road horizons change
The tournament's begun
The purple piper plays his tune
The choir softly sing
Three lullabies in an ancient tongue
For the court of the crimson king
The keeper of the city keys
Puts shutters on the dreams
I wait outside the pilgrim's door
With insufficient schemes
The black queen chants the funeral march
The cracked brass bells will ring
To summon back the fire witch
To the court of the crimson king
The gardener plants an evergreen
Whilst trampling on a flower
I chase the wind of a prism ship
To taste the sweet and sour
The pattern juggler lifts his hand
The orchestra begin
As slowly turns the grinding wheel
In the court of the crimson king
On soft grey mornings widows cry
The wise men share a joke
I run to grasp divining signs
To satisfy the hoax
The yellow jester does not play
But gently pulls the strings
And smiles as the puppets dance
In the court of the crimson kin

In your case, right now, I don't think so.

When to see a GP
You do not usually need to see a GP if the palpitations pass quickly and only happen occasionally. They're unlikely to be caused by a serious problem and probably will not need treatment.

But it's a good idea to see a GP if:

the palpitations last a long time, do not improve or get worse
you have a history of heart problems
you're concerned about the palpitations
To help find the cause, a GP may:

ask about your symptoms and medical history
arrange a blood test
carry out an electrocardiogram (ECG) to check your heart rate (if the GP has the equipment available)

Taken from NHS.

I figured that since I was stubborn and only my glasses when I had to (i.e 6-7 hours a day at school/uni), the headaches might have something to do with my eyes not adjusting properly, and I could be stuck in a vicious cycle whereby I don't wear glasses because they make my head ache and not wearing them as I should is the cause. Yeah, that doesn't sound so good.

It can either be a fractured rib (complete or incomplete fracture) and when your lungs expand it pushes the rib and it will hurt OR it can be just an intercostal neuralgia, but considering that the pain is continuous, I'm not sure what to say.

Your best bet is to get a simple chest X-ray to rule out or to confirm the rib damage.

>Chewing triggers the rest of the digestive process
>Yet, the contribution of chewing to good digestion does not even stop there. The process of chewing also activates signaling messages to the rest of the gastrointestinal system that trigger it to begin the entire digestive process. This is because when chewing is a well-paced, thorough process, it can actually be said to belong to the "cephalic stage of digestion," the phase in which you first see, smell, and taste your food. The length of time spent chewing the food is related to the length of the cephalic stage of digestion since with more extensive chewing, the longer the food gets to be seen, tasted, and smelled. Cephalic phase responses have been extensively analyzed in the research literature. The release of small messaging molecules that are critical for digestion—such as cholecystokinin, somatostatin, and neurotensin—have been found to increase by over 50% just by the mere sight and smell of food. Additionally, research has shown how chewing, as well as the activation of taste receptors in the mouth, can prompt the nervous system to relay information to the gastrointestinal system to optimize the process of digestion. For example, stimulation of the taste receptors can signal the stomach lining to produce hydrochloric acid that helps in the breakdown of protein. Additionally, chewing signals the pancreas to prepare to secrete enzymes and bicarbonate into the lumen of the small intestines.

Tell me about it, my father is in his 50s and hasn't lost his hair and I am somehow balding at 18. I probably won't shave until it starts looking like absolute shit because I want to hold onto whatever hair is left. I have shit beard genetics and a gay alien skull to top things off and the hair is my saving grace.

Yeah, I kind of missed the point with those specs. They're just about the physiological changes when you fly and/or you're under a lot of pressure (literally), nothing like suspended animation which I don't think it's even that popular, let alone research on it.

How do I tell if a mole is cancerous? I have this weird one that sprouted in the center of my back recently. It's not smooth like a normal mole, but flat and projects outward, can even flap back and forth. It's growing two long dark hairs as well, I have hair nowhere else on my back. It's too dark to be a skin tag as well

I figured the feeling of something in my throat might be due to some pill I didn't swallow right (I take lots of pills), but now my throat is also sore. I don't think it's tonsilitis. I read something about lymph nodes enlarging to fight off infections and with my limited anatomy knowledge that sounds plausible. It could also be cancer. Which one is it?

I take muscle relaxants, B12 pills for neuropathy, and supplements to treat my vitamin D deficiency. I also used to take fuckhuge sleeping pills because I felt agitated and couldn't sleep so when the weird lumpy feeling first occurred I thought maybe I hadn't swallowed one right, but it's been a while since and it hasn't gone away. Don't think it has anything to do with the pills desu.

From your limited info, all I can say is that's a globus sensation you have. You can search online to see the possible causes because I'm too lazy to do it now. I doubt it's anything malignant tho. You should check with a GP first and see where you'd get referred to, ENT or GI.

What’s wrong with the skin on my finger? Fungal? White bumps with fluid appear when it’s agitated and itches (I climb a lot), they go brownish after a while and disappear. Come and go occasionally on the one finger. What do?

And yeah, it's only palmar+plantar hyperhidrosis in my case, the rest of my body is pretty much unaffected. While there are times when I don't have excessive sweating in either of those surfaces, it's still very common and is basically nonstop whenever I'm walking around (plantar sweating) or doing things with my hands like typing or anything with paper (plantar)
The nerve paresthesia doesn't seem to be directly connected to either of those, I have no idea why it comes on

I've read up on that but I'm not sure what to say. I mean my throat used to be sore all the time and it would just go away on its own or with cough drops so I guess it's an exacerbation of that. I briefly took antibiotics at one point as well. Right now my GP is on leave so it'll have to wait. I'll be taking Strepsils in the meantime.

You should really join forces with this guy >>11865545 , lol. I assume you use gloves while hiking so the sweat has nowhere to go and eventually will build up fluid, or if you climb without gloves, the constant exposure to sweat might give you some reaction, I'm not sure.

I think your best bet is to go softer on the pills and drink some warm beverages instead. Strepsils is fine if you don't abuse it and eat them like candy (they're delicious btw).

Hey guys. I just wanted to ask about hair loss if any of you would be so kind. I was diagnosed with Alopecia Areata a month ago and was given Biotin supplements, Minoxidil and Clobetasol. Clobetasol was to be applied on the bald area for the first 15 days, then Minoxidil for the next 15 and I was supposed to do this for 3 months.

However, a month in and my bald spot just kept getting bigger without any noticeable hair growth occuring. Is this normal or should I go back to my dermatologist this monday?

Pic related was my bald spot a month ago. Now it's around twice the size of that.

Call your dermatologist and tell him/her about the issue you have, I don't think you really need to see him/her unless told so. Tell the doctor you think that the treatment is not working as intended and...that's it.
