A quantum mechanical wave function is immaterial. All of physics arises from a sequence of collapsing wave functions. Therefore, the world is fundamentally immaterial.

Everything you wrote is wrong. That equation is for rest mass. It's impossible for an observer to be moving with light such that it appears at rest, so that equation doesn't apply to light. Light intensity is not energy, so plugging it in to the equation is nonsensical. Mass is not the basis of matter, it is a property of matter but not exclusive to matter. W and Z bosons are not matter but have mass.

Essentially you need an immaterial or prematerial source for materiality or else materiality is governed and defined solely by its internal mechanics which would mean it technically creates and defines its own laws and would count as having “free will”.
