I'm not a Trumpfag or a Republican, but you are a retarded faggot if you like Hillary Clinton and have a sense of intellectual superiority about it. Both parties are ruled and run by corporations that serve the elites. Nobody cares if most of the people in some highly educated county voted for Hillary. Most educated people in Nazi Germany supported the Nazi party and Adolf Hitler. Does that mean he was objectively a good leader because most of the educated people in some arbitrary geographic region happened to support him? That's fallacious reasoning.

One doesn't need to like Hillary Clinton to vote for her. In first-past-the-post, you vote for who you hate least. That's how it always is.

I think their point is that most high IQ/generally intelligent people chose not to vote for Trump, which is probably true. Voting Democrat definitely doesn't make you high IQ (there are more than enough idiotic liberals), but voting for Trump often correlates with it. There are some major exceptions like Peter Thiel etc., but in general I think it's likely a strong correlation, and Thiel most likely voted for him primarily due to self-interest and game theory reasons, so that kind of vote/support can't be considered the same as a typical Trump vote.

Participating in elections that are effectively undemocratic is game theoretically not a good strategy. If you agree that both parties are corrupt and serve corporate interests, but you choose to vote for the lesser of two evils, then you are guaranteeing that no significant social or economic changes will occur, since it is an evolutionarily stable strategy for elites to keep exploiting your reference dependent preference for democrats over republicans (or whatever party you happen to support).

Moreover, the US electoral system is especially pernicious, sonce the electoral college system is subject to a phenomenon called Duvergers Law, which basically accounts for why partisanship and infighting has taken over our politics.

They were both objectively wrong and in my opinion both retarded. Trumpfags think its a hoax or conspiracy and that millions of COVID patients just don't exist and are lying about their illness. The democrats actually believed that masks are useless until the government and mainstream media did a full 180 on their position. They also refuse to even entertain the possibility of a lab leak in the mainstream liberal media, despit the fact that numerous scientists and several intelligence agencies are entertaining the idea, and if you actually read through or even skim the journal articles, some of it is extremely suspicious.

Both the democrats and republicans are objectively wrong on a lot of issues and generally retarded. Our political system and media has become more partisan, more dishonest, and more unreliable than at any time in modern history. We are experiencing an epistemic crisis.

trump points that out and the media takes it out of context to make it sound like he is saying all mexicans are rapists.

The only country they're 'from' is the US, dumbass. Also, you clearly did not read the tweet, because that is absolutely not what he said.

Telling someone to "go back where they came from" based on skin color is common racist bullshit, and I have no idea what you're trying to gain by pretending otherwise.

Why the fuck do you even use this site if you don't agree with the very premise around which 4chan is based - namely free speech and open dialogue. You are literally parroting mainstream medaa talking points like a braindead normie faggot. I'm not a Trump supporter and I hate the Republican party, but the mainstream media is literally the antithesus of free speech and open dialogue. But who knows, maybe you're right. Maybe republicanz are just evil Nazis and democrats are great and the world would be a perfect place if establishment corporate democrats ran the show. Or maybe you're a low IQ uneducated faggot that isn't actually informed enough about society, pop culture, or the media to make an intelligent decision. If you are genuinely this confident in our political system and the mainstream media's ability to provide us with accurate information and honest politicians, then my only conclusion is that you're completely ignorant of both human psychology and the nature of electoral politics.

I have already made reference earlier in this thread, and I think the same goes for both Trumptards and for the radical leftists who think Trump is an evil, racist, nazi, etc. You should really look into behavioral economics and social choice theory if you actually want to understand stuff like fake news, the mainstream media, partisan politics, and how susceptible we all are to partisan thinking and demonization of people in the other side of the political isle.

I think Trump is an evil man and a terrible leader, but I don't think the mainstream media is criticining him for the right reasons. You don't even seem concerned with Trump's policy positions. All you care about is what he said or Tweeted, and who he did or did not endorse. In other words, all you care about are superficial issues surrounding public image and policial correctness rather than actual policy. You are a low IQ retard and you are no different from the "uneducated racist hicks" that you hate.

I can't speak for the old people who voted for him. The momentum for Sanders was awesome, Biden seemed out of the primary race entirely, then all of the other moderate democrats dropped out at the same time and threw their weight behind Biden, and younger people just didn't bother going out to vote for Sanders, and Biden was suddenly the winner. Biden is safe, as Obama is largely remembered fondly and Biden doesn't have the baggage that Clinton did, but he's not inspiring like Sanders and Warren were.

Biden and his campaign have been making a lot of olive branches to the Sanders camp, though, and I respect that a lot. I also have confidence that Biden will hire people based on competence, knowledge, and experience, instead of Trump's bullshit of hiring people based on how much those people benefit him or pledge fealty to him. Biden isn't my first choice for president, but I believe he'll be a good president.

Yeah, that's pretty bad. At least Clinton had some hype. All trolling aside, I think the democrats should be preparing for 4 more years of trump. There are so many thing that you could actually criticize Trump for like NAFTA, TPP, repealing Omabacare, not ending our occupation of the middle east, passing the largest corporate bailout in history, or his pro-Israeli, Pro-Saudi position in the middle east.

Instead you choose to play semantic game and you intentionally misrepresent the claim of both anons in this thread and Donald Trump. I do agree with those things. I never said or implied otherwise.

>the mainstream media is literally the antithesus of free speech and open dialogue
I'm trying to figure out how this is supposed to make sense, or what an analogy to match this senselessness would be. Maybe a sentence like "wallet-makers are the antithesis of commerce and free trade"?

>Maybe republicanz are just evil Nazis
They're not. I do think it's worth thinking about why the KKK, self-identified neo-Nazis, and other people who've spouted openly racist bullshit are all right-leaning and overwhelmingly Trump supporters, but being a Republican doesn't make you racist. It's a free country, and you can vote for whomever you want.

>the world would be a perfect place if establishment corporate democrats ran the show
I'm a Sanders fan. I never said or implied what you're claiming I did.

>how susceptible we all are to partisan thinking and demonization of people in the other side of the political isle.
I do think this is a serious problem. It's interesting to browse strongly left-leaning sites and strongly right-leaning sites and seeing that they're throwing the same accusations at each other. I wish we could come together better, but the FPTP voting system encourages everyone to fall into two camps, and certain individuals in power gain a lot from polarizing people and setting them against each other.
