I think their point is that most high IQ/generally intelligent people chose not to vote for Trump, which is probably true. Voting Democrat definitely doesn't make you high IQ (there are more than enough idiotic liberals), but voting for Trump often correlates with it. There are some major exceptions like Peter Thiel etc., but in general I think it's likely a strong correlation, and Thiel most likely voted for him primarily due to self-interest and game theory reasons, so that kind of vote/support can't be considered the same as a typical Trump vote.

I do think it's worth thinking about why the KKK, self-identified neo-Nazis, and other people who've spouted openly racist bullshit are all right-leaning and overwhelmingly Trump supporters, but being a Republican doesn't make you racist. It's a free country, and you can vote for whomever you want.

I do think this is a serious problem. It's interesting to browse strongly left-leaning sites and strongly right-leaning sites and seeing that they're throwing the same accusations at each other. I wish we could come together better, but the FPTP voting system encourages everyone to fall into two camps, and certain individuals in power gain a lot from polarizing people and setting them against each other.

I agree, to an extent. There have been multiple instances where I've seen him make awful actions, and the media instead focuses on petty things about what he said. It's disappointing.
