Only the spicy one?
If yes, then it is clear that your pathetic body can't handle all that SPICYNESS

You janitor acceptance e-mail has NOT been sent, you have too weak stomach to be a glorious 4chan janitor. Maybe in the next life.

More importantly, why do I get diarrhea whenever I get stressed?
It's a terrible positive feedback loop. I get stressed, this causes diarrhea, the diarrhea makes the whole situation more unpleasant, I get even more stressed.
Spicy food doesn't do shit to me but taking an exam does.

After emptying your guts? Sure, same for me.
But it's not possible in the situations I feel stressed. I can't take a shit when I have a exam in 5 minutes or when I am in the middle of it.

I used to be like this.
I had terrible difficulties with nervousness and stomach issues ever since I was a kid.
When I hit my late 20s I grew out of it.
Can't remember the last time I felt nervous about anything.

>> No.11841117

So you just stopped being nervous all together?
That's cool, I am envious. How did you manage that?

To put it very succinctly, I embraced my inner anger.
I used to have tremendous social anxiety. I could not even be in a classroom or ride in a car with people because of the stomach feedback loop that you describe.
Now I can easily give a speech in front of a room and not even have to mentally or emotionally prepare for it. Nothing phases me anymore.
I don't want you to think that there's some magical trick that will make your anxiety go away. You can't "think" your way out of it, it's more of an embodied knowledge. I believe that its cessation has more to do with the gradual accumulation of life experience and expanded horizons, but in my case, the moment I associate with my inner change was when I got an extremely demanding physical job and was exhausted and angry all the time. I didn't have time to feel anxiety about anything after that, I just didn't care anymore.

People who suffer from social anxiety have a pathological sensitivity to the presence of others.
Anger is transformative in that anger is just fear empowering itself. Our society regards traits such as anger and aggression as undesirable and negative. However, in cases of pathology such as ours, these traits can be seen as a beneficial corrective.
Fundamentally, you suffer from fear. You are afraid of shitting your pants and being embarrassed or publicly ashamed or whatever.
Here is the best advice I can give - fuck EVERYONE. Fuck what everyone thinks. You don't have to go too far and hate them or be rude or whatever, but you must recognize that they are just people and you're a person too. They're no better or worse than you and their judgements are ultimately meaningless to your self-regard and dignity.

>fuck everyone.
>Fuck what everyone thinks.
I would love to do that but it's hard because there are some people who are extremely nice to me. Just today a distant friend of my father picked me out of the airport and is letting me stay in their house free of charge and they are going out of their way to be kind. I can't possibly not care about what they think of my behavior.
I'd say most of my anxiety comes from the fear of disappointing people who are kind to me and there is a lot of them.
I really don't feel anxious around people I don't know. I actually used to do small public "pranks" when I was in Highschool, and yes they were cringy. But I never felt any anxiety moving up to a stranger and talking with them. I became a presenter for a quiz show in school when the original guy got too anxious and refused to get on stage last minute, there were at least 200 people and it was in English. (not my mother tongue). No anxiety whatsoever. But failing an exam would mean disappointing my family who gave me so much of their time.

But in your case I think you deserved beating your anxiety and earning the right to not care about people's opinion. Privileged scum like me have to deal with anxiety because of being too sheltered I guess.

>>11841225
It's not about being mean to people. You can be cordial of course. It's about not assigning undue significance to their opinions.

>> No.11841241

>>11841231
Yeah, I get that but there is significance to my family's opinions so I get anxious . There isn't any value in strangers opinions so I don't get anxious. Or at least that's my guess, but thanks for your advice. I will keep that in my mind when I anxiety but that actually happens quite rarely.

Thanks anon. I also get awful stomach pains and anxiety and resorted to heavy drug use etc. I also noticed physically demanding jobs reduced it a lot, and as I have gotten older it has decreased but it’s still definitely there.

Obviously if you don't have issues with anxiety then I'm not addressing you.

I was the person you were replying to. I do have anxiety issues, and when they do, I get diarrhea. It's just they don't happen all that often.
Thankfully I don't give your opinion undue significance.
