No, and the bullshit they're pushing now will only make it worse. Unless Universities cut them loose the humanities departments will kill the whole tertiary education system

>> No.11832758

Actually, it’s that the humanities are much more popular than STEM so there is far more competition and on average much more intelligent candidates are selected for the top spots as a result, much like how pure math or physics gets a higher intelligence level in research positions than specialized fields of biology or engineering

Well, as we are taught in STEM, "proof" isn't really a thing, evidence is. Proof takes mathematical rigor to establish, a lot of the things you accept as fact are simply the "most likely" thing. Here is some evidence.

As for my own particular experience, my STEM major courses were difficult, while I got a 4.0 in all of my humanities gen eds. They are all the same thing: show up to class, pay a minor amount of attention, fill out all of the assignments, collect your A.

you know what I meant, we are not publishing a paper here. semantics are irrelevant.

all of that is IQ, IQ tests have become less g-loaded and are biased towards autists. difficulty doesn't necessarily mean requiring more general intelligence, maybe it's more difficult because it requires more experience and skills.

>the primary measurement of g isn't g loaded enough to describe a major's g-loadedness with respect to others

Are you just here to argue? We've all been to college, right? We know the humanities majors were dumb and would have all preferred to have their coursework over shit like set theory and electromagnetic physics.

if it is, then its a huge waste, people in humanities dont learn shit

i have many friends there, we came from a high tier high school together, and i think they are a lot dumber now then 3 years ago, because they dont "train" their brains, nothing challenging
