If I drink a liter of 12% wine then that would be an equivalent of drinking how much 40% vodka?

>> No.11783921

>>11783918
The equivalent volume would be 1 liter of vodka.

Go to the /sqt/ next time

(1 L)(0.12)=(x L)(0.4)

Solve for x

You shouldn't just dring 1 liter of shitty wine in one go, but that said you probably also shouldn't drink 300ml of vodka at once

Around 400 - 500mLs of vodka depending on the Alcohol percentage of the vodka and the alcohol percentage of Wine.

less than even 250 grams of vodka

>A liter of 40% abv vodka is made from 400 mL of ethanol and 600 mL of water
Retards. The chemical potential of wine and vodka is different so you can't assume densities of the individual components are the same in different solutions. ABV tells you nothing about how much alcohol is in a particular volume of solution.

Yes, I am a retard. So, how many grams of vodka equals in drunkenness to a liter of wine?

>> No.11786003

Going by another metric. Let's say a bottle of cheap wine is $10. I would assume that they would sell for the same price the equivalent in vodka.

Pay better attention, nobody was making any claims about the water by volume here. ABV is defined so that a liter of 40% ABV vodka is made from 400 ml of ethanol, and an unspecified amount of water Strictly speaking, it contains the mass of ethanol that would occur in 400 ml of pure ethanol.

Wine is 0.99
Vodka is 0.97
so even if this were a problem the error would be less than 2%. Which is well within the error of a drunk downing a whole bottle of wine.

ABV is how many mL of pure ethanol is present in 100 mL of the substance. You are thinking of either alcohol by weight or volume fraction of alcohol. There is a reason ABV is the standard.

You must be 18 to post here.

Why I think you are not:
You fail at precalc.
You would already tried both.

Actually wine contains different chemical then just ethanol, therefore it's never equivalent.
