So i read RD's The Selfish Gene because i was fascinated by the meme theory , but i feel like i wanna know more where should i begin?
the book btw is really good the first couple chapters may seem really a drag for the initiated but he had to start somewhere and i recommend the 30th anniversary edition because imo without the additional chapters and endnotes this book would seem very cynical and you get the benefits of being up to date

I'll give Dawkins credit for not entirely bending the knee to SJW fads. But he does this annoying religion baiting game, then pretends to be a super nice innocent British gentleman, and plays dumb when called out on his obvious bait. Atleast Hitchens was in your face, and didn't play this disingenuous coy nonsense. As a biologist I'm sure he's a genius though. But as I've grown up one of the only pop-atheists I can still handle are hitchens. And I've been atheist since I was a teenager, and find them all mostly annoying.

He barely has done anything besides popsci "education".

Bill Bryson "A short History of Nearly Everything" was a popsci book I thoroughly enjoyed. It's very impressive how many subjects it covers in such a short read, which is the main reason I recommend it. It's heavily focuses on the scientists themselves rather than the research, which initially turned me off from reading it, but it really is great

Fair enough, I wouldn't know, he seemed smart in his field.
