Because the artificial super intelligence isn't going to attempt to copy you, its going to physically grab you and start to compress and crunch and reorganize the molecules and matter of your body into computronium while at the same time keeping all the computations and electrical/neurological firing of your brain patterns consistent. It's going to be a physical, localzed transformation. Your LITERAL, PHYSICAL body will be crunch and manipulated and destroyed and reORganized.
So in the same way your stream of consciousness doesn't stop from moment to moment now, it wont stop during this transformation, as there is no difference in terms of the pattern of computation.
