I was here yesterday but still need help finding an online site that offers Math Analysis over the summer. It's very similar to Pre Calc, but Math Analysis has more trig.

Honors or CP or whatever I don't care. I just need to skip a grade over the summer so Physics will be easier... Also this way I can take both Stat AP and both Calculus classes offered at my school.

If I am able to take Math Analysis over the summer my schedule will look like this:

English AP
Comp Sci AP
Stat AP
Calc AP
Physics C AP
Bio AP
Spanish 4 AP
AP US history

Help a /sci/ fag out

>Math Analysis

WTF IS THIS SHIT? so pre-cal with trig is called math analysis? since when? where do you go to school?

You know there is actually a branch of math called "Analysis" which is essentially much more complicated then "Calculus"/where calculus comes from.

TOO MANY APS, I took AP BC topics calc as my only AP in 11th and that was enough to get me to where I wanted to go (UCSC)

>> No.1164188

what are u asking?

classes i took:

if you did not take physics B or a physics course before, physics C will be somehwat difficult

calc is easy (ab or bc? i would just go for bc; you can always drop down)

english can be tricky; it takes the whole year to get your skills up to par for the test. but you get as much out of it as you put into it. i actually liked the books we got to read in our class.

APUS: a huge volume of info. just keep up during the year. test is tricky imo

classes i did not take:

comp sci: all java programming, relatively easy if you like computaz

stats: really easy

bio: fairly easy, a lot of memorization. beware of midterm exams

spanish: test is long and somewhat difficult if you do not keep pace during the year.

if you are only a junior next year, i would spread these out over the next 2 years. however i took phys c, macroecon, american gov, calc ab, music theory, english in one year and it was pretty much ok. worth the extra weeks off of school lol.

Math analysis? Sounds like an introductory real analysis class.

>> No.1164232

That's what I was thinking when I read his post. Intro to real analysis is what he wants.

He could try this book...

I'm from California, probably the only place that does have Math Analysis. I'm aware of the real Analysis, and other higher term math that requires Calc such as Linear Algebra.
My high school is a really rich white school and is both intelligent and dumb. Intelligent as in, it offers almost all AP classes possible, but dumb for offering 3 Physics AP classes but only offering them to Juniors and Seniors. So a junior would need to skip 2 year of math to be able to take all 3 AP Physics in high school.

My school also offers both Calc AB and BC and a very very small class of multi variable Calc.

We have 2 teachers that have graduated from MIT.

My Geometry H/trig teacher
and the Physics/Calc teacher.

feels good

I don't know man. Try khan academy, or just learn the shit yourself. If your school is halfway decent they'll let you test out of it as long as you know it. Pre-calc really isn't the sort of thing you need a course for.

>> No.1165695

>>1165684
Yeah I think I'm going to try to test out of it. All you need is an A to test out of it. I don't know if they will give me the Honors Final or the CP Final so I'm not sure which to study for. The Honors final is partner so I'm assuming they'll give me the CP one.
