By definition average would still be 100 so I assume you mean today’s 100 plus 20 is their 100 and everybody just gets 20 points added equally compared to the current state. We also assume you get the other associated character traits, which we currently observe for any given level. I guess less children would certainly be a given, same with much higher levels of mental healths issues. Especially if female and male IQ increase proportionally, which was assumed. We would have a shortage of practical people focused on doing stuff now, we probably would have more papers and likely more models of certain mechanisms and „world“ equations. Human interactions would be very different more distanced and more thematic. We would have a less commonly accepted hierarchy and probably less action towards some shared goals, which can be positive and negative. There would be more local structure and less centralization as consequence. There would likely be no or next to no reality television etc. Journalists probably wouldn’t exist. Likely all drugs except certain anti viral, anti bacterial and anti fungal agents would be freely available in most places.

IQ isn't necessarily bullshit, its just that the way it measures your intelligence is by gauging your general knowledge of the world, and how effectively you can solve problems having to do with the modern world.

If you took an IQ test from a hundred years ago assuming they were the same which they were not, then theoretically you'd probably score around 130, as opposed to getting a 100 today. So if you think of IQ as an understanding of the world you live in rather than a test of inherent ability, then you'll realize that it doesn't have that much of an effect on how people succeed in the world.

Normally I don't really like what he has to say, but a lot of what you guys are saying are pretty inline with what he says about IQ not being a very deterministic thing like people make it out to be.
