that's an interesting way of saying you're dying inside, maybe you should think about why that is.

OP I had severe depersonalization for about a year. It went away on it's own. Things that helped were mindfulness, meditation, exercise, healthy diet. But honestly now years later I miss it, looking back it made life interesting. For about the 2 years following it I was able to induce it temporarily and it was cool but now I have completely lost it and want to get it back. Enjoy it for what it is OP.

the fact that depersonalization is even possible proves that free will is an illusion.

No it doesn't. It proves that we are independent from our mind. It's the concept of "Enlightenment" from Buddhism.

I do dry fast and nofap for 3 days. If this wont help it's time for drugs. If none of this helps it's time to consider suicide and i mean this without joke. It's not life if you suffer nonstop so much you do not want to live.

I've had this for a decade from dpdr, it depends a shitton but managing stress, nmda agonism, gaba agonism and acetylcholinergic agonism are good frontline choices. Serotonin is more contraindicative than you'd think

Anti convulsants such as Lamictal and gabapentin show efficacy too

Here

It can go either way, from shrooms I've had mini DMT trip levels of universal oneness and whatever which did nothing besides being an amazing experience, conversely low acid doses seemed to have a direct effect on symptom reduction even days later (I only tried acid on Friday)

Also did salvia a bunch of times, fucking stupid given it could have easily catapulted me in the the other direction but holy shit is that bullshit interesting

I've had it for a few years and I only know 2 ways to deal with it. The first way, you can basically ignore it and go own with your life, while slowly improving yourself, eventually you'll find that you don't feel it anymore and you are back to normal. If you try to fight it, it will only make it worse. Fighting it is like trying to forget something, you'll only make yourself remember it more. The other way is to stop fighting it and let it change you. I was fucked up for years because of it, but then I stopped fighting it and it was no longer so terrible. Once I found Buddhism and Eastern religion what had happened made a lot more sense. If you want a general introduction to eastern ideas, go listen to Alan watts on youtube.

I fixed it after a bad panic attack on weed. It's basically a symptom of anxiety. Rather than fight or reject your perceived reality, you should accept it and immerse yourself in it.

Telling someone with depersonalization to take psychedelics is awful advice. Psychedelics can cause depersonalization. OP should avoid all drug use for a few months, especially psychedelics, and focus on healthy diet and get weekly exercise and do some nature hikes.

Having a panic attack on psychs can cause HPPD however it's overwhelming from trauma/PTSD. Psych use without being a dumbass helps significantly and even anecdotally I've seen a ton of symptom reduction after having this shit for most of my life just from light acid trips (I like shrooms but they didn't seem to help)

God I hate retards over simplifying this
