Ultimately your body craves things that it needs to build itself and get stronger. That's why pregnant women have all sorts of cravings - because their body needs the right materials to build the baby inside of them.

So, you're wrong. You can put your meme "heme iron" into something else but it won't make people crave that thing as much as they do a hamburger, because there's more to it than iron. Protein like I said, and other stuff too, like Vitamin B12, which humans absolutely require, and is naturally only found in meat / eggs / dairy.

So, you're wrong. The specific "meatness" flavor that people crave is in fact the heme iron, which you can put in other sources which satisfy the cravings.
This is why in blind taste tests, even trained chefs fail at differentiating between the impossible burger and normal beef-hamburgers.
