So why is it so hard to build millions of these? Ffs even games consoles sell in the millions. And why are we bothering with surgical and N95 masks instead of these full face masks plus filters with pores smaller than le virus?

Cause china builds everything, and they got hit 1st with the virus. All their production to shut down when their lock down went into effect. So they refuse to export/share.
I'm sure foreign countries (like China) are buying up masks produced in America just so we get fucked over even more by the virus than we already are. Business minded people like Trump would see this as a good thing! "Finally China is buying our domestically produced goods!"
I wouldn't be surprised if someone in federal government is selling off the federal stockpile to foreign agencies, and I only say this cause Trump has accused hospitals of doing this. Usually when he accuses someone of doing something it's cause he's done it himself in the past or is planning on doing it himself in the future.

If people weren't so dirt poor they'd be able to afford to take a month of work. Now people NEED to work to survive, even if working means death from the virus. Our society has been fucked up for a long time but somehow we've sustained the status quo so everyone turned a blind eye.

My biggest hope is this stress test of our society forces people to reevaluate how things should be. That and that this stress test of our society doesn't out right break our society. That's my biggest hope.
