I don't know if IQ is pseudoscience, but all Nobel Prizes, and in general people who leave a mark in any scientific endeavor, seem to have abnormally high IQs. So IQ is at least a good predictor of scientific ability.

How is the mean IQ of Nobel Laureates lower than the mean IQ Shelley Carson found for Harvard undergrads (130~)? Just a guess but I estimate that the mean IQ of Nobel Laureates is 145-148. Some people think that's an underestimate but they forget how seriously high an IQ of 145 is. I mean anecdotally Richard Borcherds has an IQ of 138 (Simon Baron Cohen published a paper in the 90s talking about a fields medalist at Oxbridge and if you read between the lines during the time frame it can only have been Borcherds.)

IQ is definitely real, but you need to be able to tell what is environmental and what is genetic. For example, why the hell would Albania’s inherent IQ be 82 when all the surrounding countries are 10 points higher? There’s obviously a lot of things we’re not accounting for, and I think the Flynn effect is one of those things.

Was it one-on-one with a psychologist, or given to a group of students at school? What was the format? Did he actually put in any effort? 122 is not a bad score, but anyone who has listened to Feynman should know he was capable of a far better score. To suggest Feyman was just a moderately smart guy who was obsessed with math is underplaying his ability.
