Unless this 63% forest land is concentrated in fewer than 5 parks, it doesn't fucking matter. Scattered forest is just as bad as no forest. Animals have a very difficult time crossing non-forested areas and will almost always just stick within the boundaries of the trees.

So you could have 80% forest cover, but if it's broken up by pathways and roads and whatever have you, it's just a bunch of tiny isolated islands.

We had one really good candidate who had an awesome resume, really knew his shit in his interview, and had great knowledge that filled some of our existing gaps. Both me and the other dev loved him.

Management and HR, who have zero dev experience, overrode us and hired some below average intelligence female because they liked that she had spent time in Europe. She left after 3 months to go back to school and change careers, and now we are back to just the two of us.

Optimal is to follow your (STEM) dreams, but if they don't pan out just commit sudoku.
That's preferable to the alternative of picking a shit uninteresting career that results in perpetual boredom, but is perhaps safer and more reliable (like being a lifer at McDonalds).

If you're unwilling to assume some level of risk in your career, and endure some level of competition, then there really isn't much for you. That's why you need to embrace the option of being willing to die if you fail, otherwise your risk aversion will constrain you.
