Are there any books,or articles, which discuss a science-based form of "non-death" while maintaining a materialism view of the conciousness/mind-brain problem?

I read a lot about this topics on their own but never saw anyone put them together

define "conciousness"

Why?
Please provide the books I want to read

Do you even know Hamiltonian mechanics? If not, there is absolutely no point in bothering with QM because you can only read watered-down popular science treatments. QM is much more than that. E.g: It gives the shapes and energy levels of electron orbitals.

Ah! An emotional response.
>bothering with
It please me to be bothered.
>watered-down
ok...a bit of a biased statement
>popular science"treatments"
Why would that be a problem?

Start with “Classical mechanics” by Taylor.

Why would you want to be a materialist?

Montano made some videos/blog posts on the topic. Hopefully he's in a better life now.

I think something like "The Physics of Immortality" by Frank J Tipler is the kind of thing you're looking for. It gives sort of a science fiction level explanation for how God and the afterlife could ultimately come about in the far future. I found it entertaining, but I'd avoid "The Physics of Christianity" cause the prior book is far superior.

Consciousness necessitates a brain. You can only ever be in the state of being alive. There is no death, only dying, which sucks. There you go enjoy always being alive.

i'm not sure if materialism and quantum immortality are compatible ideas, or rather materialism becomes useless when you believe your self is only information
