I'd cull most of the human population if I could. Culling until there was ~0.0128205% of our 7.8 billion left.
That leaves the population at one million, more than enough genetic diversity to keep us going.
This population would be highly skilled, from all fields of work, the cream of the crop. Laboring jobs would fill up most of this million.
Skipping some logistics, we'd have to construct six hexagonal shaped cities surrounding a seventh hexagonal city. All the sections are roughly fifteen kilometers in diameter and would exist somewhere around Dhaka, Bangladesh.
Each of the outer grids would house a population that produces materials where all the manufacturing takes place.
Grid 1 is Education/Arts/Humanities, Grid 2 would house all the Agriculture, Grid 3 would be for Masonry, Grid 4 would be for Metallurgy, Grid 5 is a Security/Law city and Grid 6 is a Medical/Science/Computing city.
The central grid is for Leisure/Housing where most of the population would live, there would be jobs inside this but they would be very niche and Hospitality driven. Aspects of other parts of the grid would contribute to this grid, robotics would only be used to fill in potential gaps that might eventually occur (such as lack of interest in a specific area).
Grids would also be layered (as the Agriculture would take up a lot more space than the others).
The goal of all this is so we advance our species to a space faring civilization through hyper efficient planning.
If someone was to stop contributing toward the advancement of the civilization they would be banished.
If someone were to die or be banished then a baby would be produced that would eventually replace that person using their DNA.
What would you guys add to this type of civilization? Efficiency is key, but we don't want to make people unhappy.

if you'd worked a little harder you could have made the first letter of every line spell out "it's free real estate"
But you didn't.

Get rid of arts and morale will nose dive, It's a zero effort subject but without it everything would be boring as fuck.

This is retarded. The rate of scientific progression would just be less than what we have now. Less people=less scientists= less progression. And that's ignoring the fact that spearheading towards a certain goal sacrifices the potential developments that would have occurred otherwise.

It sounds like there is a proposed entire city of scientists, I dunno, this doesn't sound too bad anon, bunch of scientists working in close proximity. Wouldn't it be quicker?

>> No.11503086

>>11503077
No. According to google there are at least 7.8 million scientists right now, so even that 100% of the population is working on science, it would still be a net loss to scientific progress.

>> No.11503103

>>11503086
Ok so that still equates 10,000 scientists, all the best in their fields in close proximity to one another working towards a common goal. That sounds way more efficient than what we currently have now. Not to mention that there is an ideological whip on these people, if they aren't progressing society they get replaced with a better clone of themselves.

Nice! I think it could work, anon. But would you have the foresight and the balls to cull yourself from the population?? Because let's face it, you're not cream of the crop. And if you think you are you're probably just a pathological narcissist. Come to think of it since you are suggesting that you would kill billions of people if you had the power I'd bet my next paycheck that you are a diagnosable psychopath.

This is a LARP anon, I wouldn't hesitate to cull myself, however If I did manage to kill off more than 99% of the population and start my own super civilization I'd definitely be the cream of the crop in some field of advancement, Wouldn't you agree?

It isn't. That's 10,000 vs 7.8 million! Not to mention, doing science trying to achieve a goal isn't how the best discoveries are made.
