Imagine, you are being psychiatric patient against your will and you are forced to go to the hospital to get periodical injection to be dumb for one more month, by uninstructed unsecure personal.

It's real thread to humans visiting that place, therefore I'm scared.

I guess they will take no real efford for me to not get infected even on regular visits.

Psychiatric hospitals are actually threads, where people can get infected all closed and locked up, nobody caring for the symptoms.

Patients are often there left in abandonment with weekly visit from personal.

Another thing is that there is no isolation for acute mentally ill.

Therefore they are left there to die literally, and I'm sure they'll get it.

Funny fact, the source of infection can be touch with food handling as there is same food provider for more hospitals

Even if they cook their own, I highly doubt somebody from personel will care, from my experience.

You probably wouldn't be even given meds, and everybody will ignore what you propose as medicament as usually.

I'm not scared, but I am frustrated that most people seem incapable of falling between full panic and full apathy. This should be something that society can easily handle without imploding, but that is far too idealistic for this species. People can't just slightly shift their lifestyles to minimize transmission as a societal whole.

The reaction to this is turning lives upside-down. It's not some minor inconvenience. Millions of small businesses are going to go bankrupt because they don't have customers, and I'm sure those new SBA funds are going to be real easy to get. Even more people are going to be layed off or have their hours cut. Most people live paycheck to paycheck. This is going to fuck over so many people.

And both of those extremes are allowing it to spread. The panicking people who rush to grocery stores with 1000 other people to stock up for a disease known for spreading rapidly in crowded areas, and the apathetic people who just go about their day normally like nothing is happening

I wish that was me. I work at a small business, but one that sells groceries. We've been completely swamped with people far beyond our capacity to operate with the handful of people that work there, doing 3x the profit we normally do on a good day and nobody getting a moment's rest the entire day. I'm working past midnight every night and coming in on my days off to deal with it and it gets worse every day. I wish the government would force us to close. I don't care if I don't get paid, and the store could easily afford to shut down for a while

It probably would vary per country, but I used to work in a production plant that made soup. There were literally warehouses full of finished soup ready to be shipped out but not enough orders were coming in. Every time a batch sat there for 6 months the orders were to open all the soups, dump them into a vat, and re-sterilize them and re-package them as fresh. It would take a hell of a lot more than some panic buyers to deplete these reserves, since mine was a small plant and I'm sure other ones around the country followed the same procedures. The problem isn't running out of food, it's stopping the hoarders from coming back and buying seconds and thirds "just to be safe" when shipments come in .

Can someone /sci/ explain to me why everyone is hating on the UK model instead of adopting it?
If we just have all the old/at risk/ weakened immune system people self isolate/quarantine Then have all the young people fucking go to town on spreading it amongst each other, we would build herd immunity faster, and the boomers would be able to rejoin society sooner. Plus we could deliver shit to the old people, and not have to sacrifise things like the NHL and the entire global economy.
Current strategy of just telling people not to do anything, they ignore you because young people have fun, shit gets out of hand and we lock down the entire coountry seems ineffective and worse for the old people. I get the strain on the medical system, but if we have all the young healthy people getting it, they dont need to go to the hospital.

>> No.11471124

Honestly /sci I'm worried and scared.

Not for myself. I think I should be okay. But I live with my parents and I work at a grocery store where I deal with thousands of people daily.
Grocery store workers are basically going to be the first people infected due to how many people per day we have to interact with and how we have literally no rights (Being serious here, a customer can physically threaten you and management will blame you for it because corporate WILL blame them for it, so you will be fired for not taking shit), so sick people are basically going to cough all over the employees.
My parents are both 70 each and that's when you're in getting into a good chance of dying.

I don't feel sick or anything but I'm constantly worried about the smallest symptom being a sign that I have a mild case; If I wake up with a stuffy nose or feel tired I worry that it might mean I'm one of the asymptomatic carriers.

>>11470242
Grocery stores are basically the one exception to the rule. They'll be kept open no matter what.

that being said, if you're one of the unlucky stores to have a corona virus case employee happen early in the outbreak, forget, you're fucked.
Everyone will avoid you forever after that.

I'm waiting for that now. If one employee gets sick (or just quits from the stress), I'm fucked and will be doing 15 hour shifts every day with no breaks to cover it. If I get sick, we'll probably shut down.

>why everyone is hating on the UK model instead of adopting it?

Probably because like the panic buying reality people see other countries doing mass quarantines and think 'hey we do should do that too! despite as mentioned and explained through official channels that the UK strategy is based on a sensible and pragmatic plan. If people simply stuck to it why shouldn't it work? I agree with you - it's the older and co-morbid populations who need to stay in - they don't need to stock up as we can implement a system of couriers to deliver their necessities. Let it circulate amongst the younger who will build up immunity (and not suffer nearly so severe reactions to it and hence not clog up our NHS system) and then the boomers can come out to play again now at least with the benefit of herd immunity and a healthcare system which will not be understaffed and under-resourced nearly so much which again brings down the mortality rate from COVID-19.

So basically this virus was planted into batches of synthetic adrenochrome manufactured in Wuhan.

For the uninitiated, adrenochrome is the chemical released into the blood of tortured children, which is then consumed by satanic paedophiles as a euphoric, psychedelic drug that helps them commune with demons, which also has vitality properties that keeps them looking and feeling young.

The Trump administration have been taking out the traditional supply lines that the satanists use to get their children (Epstein being just a public display of what's going on behind the scences), so the paedos have been having to look for synthetic alternatives.

In a move of genius proportions, the US military infected these synthetic batches of adrenochrome with COVID-19 which will kill off the old satanists, and infect the younger ones, but they cannot flee because travel is shut down. By keeping the public away from large gatherings, the satanists can't get revenge or create a distraction with mass killings. There's going to be a lot of arrests taking place.

Enjoy the show, folks.

The problem is most of these "businesses" simply are not providing necessary products or services. The only businesses that are going to be hurt are the ones that are clearly superfluous.

I'm not saying that I think people deserve to suffer and die and all that, but it's a cold hard truth that people want to avoid. We are inundated with unfortunately worthless careers.

You use toilet paper or a special tiny towel which is for bidet use only. Though to be honest the towel thing is seen as kinda nasty these days, it was the norm like a century ago.

Most people use TP. You really save up on TP usage though, considering it's only to dry your ass.

Really it's just fucking weird. Like I'm okay with the ones that just shoot water at your ass, but this thing? Fuck.

I use 3 pieces of TP per shit which is two wipes, and 1 moist wipe. It's pretty much shower clean and I don't have to splash water on my ass.

You realize how idiotic that sounds right? You know that the virus would have to mutate drastically for somebody to get reinfected. And if you knew anything about biology or chemistry you’d know that is extremely, to the point of absurdity, rare.

Good question
I would love to have. A lot of Europe already had these when we were making houses out of dirt in the middle of nowhere and getting water from outside. Water closets could be loaded with a bucket so toilets caught on first. Bidets exist here and always have. Rare though. Eastern victoians or expensive custom made homes. It requires a lot of retrofit for something we have lived without. There are kits to modify existing crappers but it still requires plumbing that the home builders didn't have in mind and there is fancy electricity garbage and I guess we don't want a complete remodeling or wires and hoses through holes drilled in cabinets. How do you pronounce, "bidet?" I hear different stuff all the time. I put in an expensive hopper that would accept the bidet kit but never got around to doing all the stiff to convert it. I use wet wipes and the shower. I like a clean arse.

>Like I'm okay with the ones that just shoot water at your ass, but this thing? Fuck.
It's the same thing. It shoots water at your ass.
If anything the classic bidet is more hygienic, because it's much easier to clean on a regular basis. My mom has one of those fancy Japanese toilets and the plastic thingy that shoots water at you got all shoddy and nasty-looking very fast. Nobody uses it anymore.

>I use 3 pieces of TP per shit which is two wipes, and 1 moist wipe. It's pretty much shower clean and I don't have to splash water on my ass.
Sounds like a good workaround. I use baby wipes when on vacation on a non-bidet country and it does the trick.

>I would love to have. A lot of Europe already had these when we were making houses out of dirt in the middle of nowhere and getting water from outside. Water closets could be loaded with a bucket so toilets caught on first.
I guess it's a cultural thing. Here in Argentina every house has a bidet. But cross into neighbouring Brazil, even South Brazil which had a lot of Euro migration and there are no bidets to be found anywhere.

>How do you pronounce, "bidet?"
Here we use the French pronunciation, with a silent "t". I guess in English a phonetic spelling would be "Bid-E" (with the "e" pronounced as in "energy")

Sorry, I assumed you European but same is true. I think, your country was more sophisticated than most of ours when plumbing was popularized. There is the other side of the coin. I live in California and there is a lot of old crap. I grew up in Kansas and there was nothing. When I go back to visit, it is a high tech wonderland, compared to everyday things in cali. Kansas grocery stores have touch screens and telephone lines are fiber optic. It is because they were late to gain technology and, therefore, got the latest technology, while California was more advanced but still using the tech that was the latest at an earlier time. Shit is weird.

None of the viruses over the past few decades were like this one. This isn't flu 2 boogaloo, this is SARS 2. Less deadly than SARS, but much, much easier to spread as well.
The insane control measures are being put in place because this thing hits a sweet spot of being JUST bad enough to put a huge amount of old people in the hospital, but benign enough that it's almost impossible to stop it spreading because most healthy non-geriatrics barely notice it, if at all.
The prevention measures are intended to try and avoid the really, really bad scenario of ending up with 30,000 sick people and 10,000 beds.

Viruses mutate, immunity is temporary (with extreme cases like tetanus being weeks to the end of immunity, while things like chicken pox being almost forever, but only because it stays dormant inside your body and gives you shingles in older age), ADE and other phenomena means immunity for one strand could kill you if you get any other strand (influenza vs variants like h3n4 and h1n1, and dengue fever, are examples of this).
Moreover it means the hospitals have no capacity to deal with the severe cases that present themselves.

No. Viral infections are for amateurs. 1% acetic acid in aqueous solution is an incredibly powerful broad-spectrum germicide. It kills yeasts (this is basically what Summer's Eve is), bacteria and viruses like napalm while being perfectly tolerable to the cells of our bodies.

1% is far less than the strength of acetic acid used for culinary purposes (typically 4-7%). It can be eaten and drunk, its vapors inhaled, put in a plastic squirt bottle and sprayed on the skin (do this after every shower you take in municipal water), and indeed squirted into your navel or whatever other pockets your particular body may have.

IF YOU HAVE GERMS, YOU DID NOT DO THE HOMEWORK.
