Fucking crows man.

Look at this thing. It's a fucking crow vending machine.

It uses real coins and gives out nuts.

How can we exploit the intelligence of crows for ourselves?

if their dependence on humans ceases, they will probably still be able to find food. the evolution doesn't work that quick. and even if it did, probably many animals that won't depend on humans will just die because they will have nowhere to go

I've had a crow throw a walnut in front of me, looking at what I would do. I opened it for her, waved, and nodded. Then I went away and looked at her happily munching on the insides of the walnut.
Truly marvelous beings.

Birds have been used as first line visual inspectors to reject components and reduce the amount of failures at test. They are better at it.

Have you not lived in a city? Large birds are already completely dependent on people, you think there's enough fish to sustain millions of seagulls along the few miles of shore a city occupies? No, they just eat our trash.

>> No.11436978

Train them to pick shit up and put it in vending machines to get food. Coins, trash, whatever.
Pretty much free cleaning because they can fly around and gather tons of trash so we don't have to provide many nuts per piece.

That's fine, they'll interbreed with wild crows and create a perfect hybrid. All we have to do is boost their iq's a bit

Last fall I heard some crows have a meeting or some strange ritual. One crow would caw for a bit, then a few moments later they would all caw, then repeat. This ordeal went on for at least a good 15 minutes until they all flew off.

Crows, ravens, and corvids overall have 2.56x denser brains than humans. They can outperform some ape species in intelligence tests that have much larger brains.

Crows are cool and funny so I say film them without express written permission.

Also research needs to be done into the intelligence of ravens. I saw 3 of these fuckers rifling through a cooler in the back of a pickup at Lake Louise. I looked around the parking lot and the majority of pickups without tonneau covers had ravens near them.

One day that'll be us. The dumbest being smarter than einstein just by sheer neural density. Or maybe we should look at other mammals for inspiration, like dolphins...

They don't have a neocortex, at least not one anything like mammals have. The way crows, parrots and such achieve their high intelligence is truly novel. You could make XXXL ravens with brains close to human size. They wouldn't be able to fly anymore, but they'd be fucking brilliant in a weird alien way, and their biology wouldn't be adaptable to humans in any way.
