Obviously, but would you or the average person know this without reverse image search or knowledge of Japanese populations/traditional attire? Since the average person affiliates particular traits to a given race. They assume racial boundaries are "fixed" and not fluid like it actually is.

This doesn't mean that race isn't real but that like everything else in biology is in a constant state of change. Features come and go, definitions of what a people are get re-written. So to answer op's question, yes it's possible to be transracial. Humans have been participating in such a practice for thousands of years. But it is a slow process and our lifespans are too short to notice long term gradual changes.
