How much energy does it take for the body to produce sebum? What molecules are needed? How many are used?

Since using soaps cause you to produce more sebum, how much energy can you save by not using soaps?

Why is any of this useful?

I’m testing out no-soap showers and I noticed that I didn’t feel as drained as usual when I get out of the shower. So I wondered if this was an effect of the decreased sebum production. It’s only been a week but I’ve definitely noticed that my skin and hair are less oily and my acne seems to be getting better

Oh, party on dude. Build that bacterial armor. I don't know much about it so, I'll sit back and read. Good shit Anon.

The effects you are looking for would take about 2 weeks to show. You most likely have the water too hot with too much steam. Vent the shower so there's no steam to breath.

I first turn the water on warm enough to produce steam, though definitely not as hot as I could manage, then I gradually decrease the temperature to the coldest it can get. I figured the warm water helps with rinsing while the cold helps close the pores

The steam can cause shortness of breath and wear you out quicker than normal. It is just air with less oxygen in it for your to breath after all. People with COPD have problems with steamy showers.

ok thanks I’ll keep that in mind. When I’m in my dorm I don’t think venting will be easy but I’ll try to figure out a good warm temperature with minimal steam

Christopher Ryan said on Joe Rogan that he hasn't used soap in 15 years

And how she's now beautiful again?
This is all for science, obviously.

I didn’t really think about this. Won’t I be pretty “contagious” for soap users? If so that’s kinda dope haha

>no-soap showers

absolutely disgusting.

anon, use a moisturizer that is natural and not made in a lab, your body will not overcompensate for the less of oils.

you need to clean yourself with soap in 2019, there are so much environmental pollutants and toxins. if you do not clean them periodically, you will just time-absorb the nastier batches of shit that you come into contact with. i dont need to tell you how much toxic material exists in our modern human environments, and that is just non-biological pollutants.

as for sebum production sapping your energy, you use orders of magnitude more energy producing a minutes worth of heartbeats than a showers removal of sebum

>> No.11246695

another suggestion I would make is to look into a multi-stage shower water filter. the amount of chlorine in municipal water is mindblowing, they just toss that shit in there at will. breathing aerosol chlorine (and other shit) will cause many nasty issues.

(further suggestion would be to get a cheap 5 dollar diverter valve to limit water pressure when lathering to preserve filter life (assuming you arent using some plastic toxic waste generator shower head and are using brass/steel like a sane person))

(btw, must environmental toxins are things that tend to cause harm longitudinally, so when that dementia/other neuro-degenerative diseases kick in prematurely in 15 years, you may finally have your answer before you promptly forget it of course)
