No, you know what the US system is biased in favor of? Rich people.
Even affirmative action people have it hard because they have to compete in an unfair admission process (how is a black genius supposed to get into USAMO without a prep school and a genius math whiz prep tutor?).

United States should get completely meritocratic Asian-style for once. All the essay and EC bullshit should disappear and change for Standardized HARD Tests (not that SAT baby bullcrap) and magnet schools for everyone (qualified) access.

Rich people get the best education, the best access to preparation for Standardized tests, the best access for research opportunities, honors and awards.
While your typical NY rich kid does research because daddy found a PhD student at NYU who can stand a submissive brat, the other kid tries to do everything by himself while working jobs to help his family.
And then you expect this fag admission officers to have the eye to judge what is 'hardship', because you know, experiencing a divorce is soooo baaaad in comparison to not even knowing if you will be able to go to college.
