Dying without noticing is borderline impossible with very few exceptions (ie hypoxia).

Heart attacks, strokes etc, you can definitely tell.

The vast majority of people die in a freaked out panicked state knowing they're dying, trying their best not to die, and still losing the battle.

What if you did everytime you went to bed, and a new person with all your memories and experience wow up and replaced you? Would that make you feel better? Could already be happening and you wouldn't have any way to know.

People usually wake up when they die. When we say about old people that they died in their sleep, they are usually found on the floor of the bedroom or with their legs out of the bed because they sat up first
