I'm a relatively poor white person and didn't get shit for scholarships either, despite being in the top quarter of my class all throughout college. Also, private scholarships do track very well to "high achieving students" for a couple of reasons. Firstly the group of students who are even applying to these private scholarships in the first place is going to be fairly self selecting towards those with behavioral/genetic tendencies which would make one more likely to be a high achieving student. Secondly of the students who applied for private scholarships, the ones who get them are more likely to be ones who are high achieving just based on the very nature of how "merit based" (which is largely a crock of shit but that's not super relevant) scholarship processes work.

Also, what would you expect a "fair" percentage of scholarship money for black college students to be given that black students are significantly less likely to achieve academic honors (one of the main reasons people get private scholarships to begin with) and are a fairly small proportion of most college campus student bodies as it is (usually less than 15% of all students obviously varying by region/college/program respectively)?

Also, the complaint isn't that white people never get scholarships, it is that it is somehow a discriminatory practice for a public/private scholarship to exclusively target a white male demographic when racially exclusive scholarships for high achieving black students are very numerous (and many receiving public funding or coming from tax exempt charity organizations).
