Except Jewish dominance in banking was because 1) jews were banned from owning land, which is a direct way to wealth and 2) christians were banned from charging interest while Jews were not.

So christian bankers lent to only family via nepotism and couldn't charge interest to make it worth while leading to a credit crunch. Meanwhile Jews could at relatively high interest due to lack of competition and had no other avenue for accrueing wealth.
