Why do we spend so much money researching the cosmos when there's so many problems on earth?
How could the stars possibly help humanity solve world hunger and energy needs when we're over 100 years from getting any reasonable results (ex: "Fusion power")

I get excited for the future and imagine how cool humanity will look but then I remember the world we live in.

Nasa budget cut and cancelled spacex when?

admit it
space tech has no place in government budgets anymore

The only reason they created NASA was to spur ICBM technology.

Shut the fuck up faggot. Why not prioritize a greater understanding of the universe above feeding niggers?

Cosmology and physics are intrinsically linked, knowledge in one field helps understand the other

But yes, a dollar spent on physics directly will yield more knowledge of physics than a dollar spent on cosmology. But eventually you get into diminishing returns where you're not making any one field go faster by putting more money into it.

Like right now we're at the stage where the only way to get fusion working at all is to build an oversized reactor, then once its operating, use the data from operation to learn how to shrink it. Funds aren't withholding the construction and you'll just have to wait until it's done. You could spend the money to make more experimental reactors in parallel but it would just be wasted. And when we have a working reactor, there's a finite number of best guesses as to how the second generation reactors should be designed. So you spend the rest of your GDP on the other sciences.

The fact that the money isn’t going to niggers is a good enough reason. A second reason is that we get cool pictures

>> No.11111742

Because it will actually solve problems on Earth. All kinds of conflict arise with lack of resources, and space has all the resources we need

Energy levels, personality, social interest and investment, skillfulness, and other aspects of genetic expression are basing on nutriments.

(Racism was dropped when social benefits were found.)

Standards and results are much more amongst proper humanity / objectivity.
