why did i have to be born stupid? im about to switch my major from physics, i just can't handle the subject, i pull As and Bs and my gpa is like a 3.4 but thats just not good enough to make it as a physicist...i might be pussying out and switching my major to cs because also poorfag and need money...why did it turn out like this, i wanted to be a physicist :( i dont wanna be a programmer. anyone have a similar experience? how do you live it down?

Well you don't actually care about physics that much if you're going to drop when it gets tough. What are things are you studying?

you don't have to go to college to be a fucking physicist. If it interests you, get involved in it. There are endless FREE resources to advance your knowledge of the subject. College is fucking stupid College is fucking stupid College is fucking stupid College is fucking stupid College is fucking stupid College is fucking stupid College is fucking stupid

based. Unless you want to be a physicist for a living don't go to college.
I am a Bsc in physics.

If you aren't spending 3-4 hours a day doing physics problems trying to improve you didn't really want to be a physicist.

Having a lower IQ just means you don't learn as fast, it doesn't mean you are incapable of learning. If you want to do something and succeed, you gotta put forth the right amount of effort.

What. Show me one physicist without at least a physics Masters.
Being interested in physics doesn't make you a physicist. You must also produce things that aren't known and done and it's your task to get it known too.

No, putting the work in does. You don't need to go to college to put the work in. To reiterate: COLLEGE IS FUCKING STUPID COLLEGE IS FUCKING STUPID COLLEGE IS FUCKING STUPID COLLEGE IS FUCKING STUPID COLLEGE IS FUCKING STUPID COLLEGE IS FUCKING STUPID COLLEGE IS FUCKING STUPID

anon what hurts is i spent so much time on it, MUCH more than 3-4 hours, for example this smester i took 4 classes only physics and any non free time i spent is spent reading/solving problems for these. i would unironically solve every problem in the textbook for classes i took. its gotten tough before too and i slugged on, i just feel like at this point my chances at good grad school and a career in physics are fucked and idk what to do..

quantum 2, solid state, mathematical phys, and this one other physics class rn. i do care anon :( im distraught idk what to do. i really really dont want to give it up its just i need money/am probably already locked out of a career in physics

Why do you think that studying CS means being a programmer in the first place you fucking imbecile? Is your Uni curricula is so garbage that it makes you take lots of programming classes or something?

>> No.11111662

>>11111584
first off i know what studying cs means, ive taken multiple cs courses....if ur gonna give the whole spiel about how its just a branch of applied math and programming isnt cs etc etc or whatever save your time, arguing semantics isnt worth it....i know about theoretical cs and our curriculum is literally top 3 in the world, and does require math courses like discrete math probability linalg diffeqs optimization and various others...now what do a vast overwhelming majority of cs majors end up doing? they end up being programmers, which is why i said that. also why i said the money part since software engineers make a good deal of money

>> No.11111666

>>11111584
also yes the cs curriculum at our school does require a fair bit of programming courses as it should, and as do all other good cs curricula
