Brothers, one too many lies has left me in some deep shit. I need details on graduate school:

Can you get accepted into graduate school and start taking courses in January?

How far ahead do you need to apply in order to get accepted in to graduate school?

What's the application process for graduate school? How far ahead do you have to plan?

What the fuck is the GRE? Do you have to take it? If so, when?

Do you have to do a "thesis" if you're in STEM? What even is a "thesis"?

Are there interviews you have to pass or something?

I told too many lies and now I need to cover my ass, I am so fucked bros. So, so fucked.

What did you do? Massive student loans?

>> No.11087377

No, nothing concerning student loans, just an intricate set of lies to people in the past about why I left a certain job or why I could only work for a certain period of time

best way to cover lies is to tell the truth and life with the consequences
they people you told the lies to will think less of you and think of you as a liar but will also see that you came clean which is a big plus in peoples book about you
And with the burden of your lies lifted off you youll be much more successfull at whatever endeavour youll pursure

Liars are the scum of the earth. You deserve what's coming for you.

Sometimes circumstances make it better to lie instead of telling the truth.

>Sometimes circumstances make it better to lie instead of telling the truth.
Wrong. It's always better to tell the truth or not tell anything at all, than tell a lie. If you disagree, you'll never be like Perelman. Keep wallowing in your lies, while I pursue the truth.

telling lies has imense negative effects on mental health
the amout of details you have to remember to keep a lie alive and fear of getting found out is stressfull and can lead from mental fatigue to depression

Don't worry! Lying is fun and good for your heart. Lying is just like mathematics, creating your own new realities in which others may work. And holding them together is like math too, a delicate balance of abstraction and proof. Anyone who does not lie regularly has no future in mathematics.

You forget the origin of the word mathematics. Abstraction was merely a way to tell the truth in a poetic manner.

This. If you have a professional career you are forced to lie in order to avoid getting fired or sued. Personal accountability gets thrown out the window. You're not allowed to say "I'll learn from my mistakes" anymore, you're forced to say "I didn't do it!"

Orwellian doublespeak. The vast majority of people do it. If you are purely objective you will be unbearably boring to 99% of people. If you are intelligent, you will be able to pick up the truth from someone's exaggerations and doublespeak.

I don't take advantage of it. I sometimes make my stories more colorful to normies who otherwise wouldn't take interest in it. I mainly want to be left alone by other people, though.
