98% of chem majors get this one wrong

No such compound

i'm a big dick mathematician w/ poor chem education. using a periodic table I think is molydenium Nitride (bordeline guess btw)

kys inorganic tryhard. try MoN instead, faggit. :)))

Almost right, systematically it would be molybdenum dinitride. Although like most people correctly said the compound doesn't actually exist, so we can't say whether the nitride should have a different suffix due to charge.

kek the issue here isn't the charge of the molybednum, faggit. it's about the compound's existence.

has it been used recently as a potential catalytic monolayer? fine, if you want to get technical, yes it does "exist".

but does it exist alone organically? no. so gtfo inorganic chemists :))))))

my economics professor at a community college went to yale for undergrad, then harvard for his PhD in economics. He was just some old retired dude who wanted to get out of the house so taught part time. his classes were actually in the top 5 undergrad classes for me, completely unrelated to my major too.
just because someone is at community college shouldnt automatically detract from them. Though often I'm sure it is reflective of something if they are like, middle aged

Molybdenum can bind nitrogen, thats how the bacteria do it and also some complexes in a lab enviroment can, but there are other ligands needed.

Community college professors are fine.

Community college students...
I don't know, that's subjective.
