Why the hell is it 100 degree in the central Midwest right now?! Is there any chance of things getting better or are we totally fucked? I sincerely hope the people who say that the planet is just leaving a mini ice age and humans have no effect on the environment are right, but this type of shit is making me doubt it. I'm sincerely depressed that my formerly idyllic, rural Midwestern town is becoming a smog-filled hellhole where the mere act of going for an afternoon jog is potentially lethal for my health. Is there anything I can do about this or should I just resign myself the the next 60 years being hell until I die? Is there any hope at all? I JUST WANT MY AUTUMN BACK!

You realize that if it's not man made you might be even more fucked?

Just try to enjoy being one of the last generations on Earth that can see the stars, thanks to "economic growth".
Hordes of utterly moronic CONSUUUUUUUMERS, money priests, and market worshippers are gonna sink this ship

If it's man made at least we have a chance, if it is not, we are done.

I noticed this, too. When I was growing up, it was common to have snow in September/October, and then it'd melt by March at latest. Now we get snow in late November that melts in April/early May. It was actually still mildly chilly in June this year, too.

You didn't look up Ulaanbaater did you. Also fuck off. I'm from the Midwest too. Was more likely to die from this last Chicago winter than your small town heat wave. You don't even know what smog means.
Granted unless you live next to a coal plant, the word was not invented for your town.

holy fucking shit mate. I would unironically die at that temperature. I should move to some place that is sub -20 C. Better that than to die in the oven.

Yeah I did look it up, isn't Mongolian hard as hell to learn? Also I don't really care if cities have it worse, the reason I live here rather than a city is because I don't want that shit at all

It's less of a scientific observation and more just an observation. Haven't you noticed that it seems like it's snowing later and later and taking longer and longer to warm up in the Summer (because I have)

Oh god no, the only place in America where the temps even come close to that is death valley, and that place is uninhabited.
