He was far more contributing to Science than Einstein or Tesla

>> No.10958496

Einstein and Tesla had more personality and character.

But Feynman's wild personality is why he's put on the same pedestal as Einstein and Tesla

Anyone study using his technique? He says you can learn ANYTHING if you break it down into manageable pieces.

What did he contribute?

>> No.10958535

Than tesla, sure. Than Einstein no.

Chadman is such an inspiration. I know I will never be as good of a scientist or a Chad as he, but it still it's a good reference to try.

Step 1
Write the name of the concept at the top of a blank piece of paper.

Step 2
Write down an explanation of the concept on the page. Use plain English. Pretend you are teaching it to someone else (e.g a new student). This should highlight what you understand, but more importantly pinpoint what you don't quite know.

Step 3
Review what you have pinpointed you don't know. Go back to the source material, re-read, and re-learn it. Repeat Step 2.

Step 4
If you are using overly wordy or confusing language (or simply paraphrasing the source material) try again so you filter the content. Simplify your language, and where possible use simple analogy.

I feel like this only works with qualitative shit. How would this help you get better at specific areas in mathematics? You just have to do those problems over and over.

For math you have to work on your foundations. When I study math more often than not I'll try to derive every concept in a chapter independently after having read over the chapter once. I do not refer back to the chapter when I do this, and sometimes it takes me hours to drive something. But it sticks---permanently---and I know how it works thoroughly. I seldom do problem sets outside of those which are graded assignments.

(Continued) also, don't be too lazy or stuck up to brush on extremely elementary things (e.g. elementary algebra, geometry), just to solidify your base (when its relevant).
