When will the philosophy of transhumanism become a reality? I want to have immortality, an IQ of 900, and superhuman strength

individuality would eventually become irrelevant as capitalism will eventually fail to keep up with the times and it wont matter who you were or who will be.
And frankly i'm ok with that, thank god im studying to be part of the solution.

Correct! I am the 1% performer for the exusively 99% silent voyeuristic fetishist society!

So whatever 1% of the current population is are my personal slaves, minimum of 3 females, and I the prime alpha male Dragon/Unicorn breeder.

Put me out to stud, bitches!

I would say about 100 years before its really here. We need geneticly modified brains connected to CPU's or GPU's. Either locally or on a cloud. Imagine if all humans shared the same brain to some extend. On some kind of cloud.

You think the issue is philosphy anon? Our technology, science, and even medicine are not capable of significantly augmenting humans. We still struggle with fighting diseases and people dying from eating too much. We can't make prosthetic limbs as good as regular limbs. Why even bother with augmentation when we cannot even solve these problems?

>> No.10834692

The entirely of humanity will be consumed by autonomous corporations and conglomerates governed and employed solely by algorithms and dumb AI before humans become more than basic bitch cyborgs.

debatabley, you can cure things like cancer and heart disease (the biggest killers of humans in America) by severing your head and placing it on life support, with artificial blood and nutrients pumping through your brain.
We already have the technology for the brain to control robotic limbs. So really as long as that surgery is successful, it's just a matter of time until you can upgrade your limbs.
Really the only bad thing that could happen is neurodegenerative disease or brain cancer at that point

>>10834692 This. Except that their employees and consumers might become a bit more cyborgish for them to harvest larger profits. But that's mostly just more usage of external devices like smartphones.

Read the daemon novels by Daniel Suarez.

>>10834691 Good points. But you should check some of the latest science. Transhumanism starts with eating right.

>>10834918 Got some links on that? Obviously there's also issues of software security and resource depletion but I guess these could be solved. I'm sure there will also be other major problems. I read: https://www.livescience.com/50074-head-transplants-wont-happen.html (see bottom of it)

>>10832195 Why do you think so? Individuality is profitable. People want to show who they are and spend large amounts of money to fit in or be different. Much of it is pseudo but I don't see your point either way.
