Many religions and political beliefs have something close to the objective truth because all their independent ideas are converting on that it. Given time, if all the religions of the world continued to change and evolve I believe we'd all end up at the same truth in the end. If differing ideologies are cooperative and work together, we can reach that objective truth much faster.

What prevents this is when religion and political ideas refuse to change, or attempt to "sell" their ideas to others to convert or destroy independent thought.

No. Predictions are meaningless. Darwinian evolution doesn't function on its ability to predict the future. Whatever is right or wrong is entirely determined by the best available information we have at the time. It's based on what is most-likely true for the time being.
