Looks like a typical book that covers calculus I-III. I'm however not acquainted with it. I prefer russian/german math books.

You probably haven't advance beyond elementary calculus either

Never heard of that one. Generally the books assigned for mathematical methods for physics or engineering course are Arfken, Boas, Riley, and maybe Hassani for slightly more difficulty. It's good to have as a sort of reference when learning and I think you can also learn depending on the structure and content of the book (Riley is best for learning as opposed to just being a reference afaik); however, you should consider including pure math, or at least spend some time on the basics and proofs - if you're serious about learning maths you NEED to use topic-specific books for maths students which go into more depth and have more """rigor""". Just use Paul's Online Math Notes for Calc I thru DiffEQs. Once you get higher than that, you can find a lot of textbooks that assume the reader is self-teaching.

Meme term used to justify badly written books.
